About the role
The General Manager at Sur La Table is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing staff, and driving sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee store operations including inventory management, staffing, and merchandising
- Manage employee performance and conduct regular performance evaluations
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer loyalty
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Participate in special events and promotions to drive store traffic and sales
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience
- Proven track record of increasing sales and improving customer service
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
