General Manager, Roadrunner Quantum Lab, New Mexico

About the role

The General Manager, Roadrunner Quantum Lab, is responsible for overseeing the operations and growth of the quantum technology lab in New Mexico. This role requires a strong background in quantum or related fields, as well as experience managing technical facilities and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the quantum technology lab
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the lab’s growth and expansion
• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure smooth operation and innovation
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including industry partners, investors, and government agencies
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in quantum or adjacent deep tech (hardware, software, networking, sensing, or materials)
• Experience managing a lab, technical facility, innovation hub, accelerator, or shared technical infrastructure
• Experience building and running a business or business unit with P&L responsibility

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (quantum physics, engineering, computer science, etc.)
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
