About the role
The General Manager (GM) position at Regal Cinemas is a full-time salaried role. The GM is the face of Regal and is responsible for the overall operation of the theatre. This includes achieving business goals in revenue, expense, profitability, guest satisfaction, inventory control, and employee morale.
Responsibilities
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Upholding and administering all Regal policies as outlined in ROM and Corporate directives.
- Control concession inventory shortages and spoilage levels.
- Maintain facility cleanliness to Regal standards every day.
- Hire, train, develop, supervise, counsel, schedule, and terminate employees as required.
- Administer all applicable paperwork and uphold all company policies as they pertain to Human Resources.
- Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
- Supervise theatre maintenance (building and grounds, where applicable), including performing minor repairs and obtaining qualified personnel for larger maintenance concerns.
- Monitor risk management as it pertains to the theatre, including guest and cast member safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and proper handling, reporting, and investigating of accidents.
- Manage guest relations, marketing and promotions, scheduling of movie show times, and timely delivery of show times to all proper channels.
- Count, deposit, and reconcile all receipts taken in during a business day, including cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, discount tickets, and any other mode of payment or accountability deemed applicable by Regal.
- Ensure compliance with the dress code.
- Ensure guest satisfaction through smile, greeting, and thanking all guests.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of post-secondary education in Business and/or two years management or supervisory experience.
- REU attendance preferred.
- Working knowledge of all systems within facility in Booth and Projection technology including maintenance, programming, TMS operation, and all related projection skills.
- If the theatre sells alcohol and your assigned duties will include the selling/serving of alcohol, must be of legal age to sell and serve alcohol according to state or local laws.
- Knowledge and compliance of dress code.
- Ability to read and understand training materials covering subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
