About the role

Oversee the total operation of the assigned Pump & Pantry location.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, discipline, and terminate personnel with involvement of the District Manager and Corporate Human Resource Department.
  • Maintain labor within budget and post a two-week schedule at least one week in advance.
  • Oversee expenses and profitability to meet budget goals, including reviewing monthly P&L statements.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and turned in on time.
  • Open and close shifts, including completing required paperwork.
  • Ensure customer needs are met and implement the company’s policy on customer service.
  • Supervise cash control and bank deposits.
  • Project a positive attitude and resolve customer, personnel, and equipment issues.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and equipment in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure accurate ordering, stocking, and pricing of all products.
  • Implement and reinforce company training programs.
  • Supervise and train personnel, including training associates on food handling, procedures, and product standards.
  • Ensure proper storage, dating, and temperature control of all food products.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
  • Complete performance and wage reviews in a timely manner.
  • Ensure personnel meet uniform and appearance standards.
  • Implement and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Report key operational issues to upper management.
  • Maintain required operational records.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Conduct regular team meetings.
  • Attend management and training meetings, as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Report for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
  • Be proficient in opening, closing, ordering, and overall operations of any or all Quick Service Restaurants (QSR’s) if the store has a unit.
  • Manage higher-volume locations or locations with increased sales, staffing, or operational demands (market-specific).
  • Oversee enhanced merchandising, food service, or multi-concept operations where applicable (market-specific).
  • Manage increased staffing levels, including more complex scheduling, supervision, and performance management (market-specific).
  • Ensure execution of expanded product offerings, programs, or services specific to the market (market-specific).
  • Address increased customer traffic and service expectations in higher-demand locations (market-specific).
  • Coordinate with additional vendors, deliveries, or operational partners as required by the market (market-specific).
  • Support other locations within the designated market area as needed to ensure overall market performance (market-specific).
  • Assist in other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one to three years’ experience as an Assistant Manager.
  • Must be able to attain food safety manager certification within six months of offer.
  • Knowledge of operations and maintenance of all equipment in the store.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Able to reliably work 45 to 48 hours per week.
  • Reliable transportation and phone.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.

Physical Requirements

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time; frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear; occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Physical attendance at the primary work location is required.

Schedule

45 to 48 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
