About the role
Drives holistic base performance through cross-functional facilitation, data-driven problem solving and joint KPI ownership. Oversees the local Service-Level Agreement (SLA) with the ground-handling provider; audits, verifies and escalates as needed. Maintains regulatory and brand accountability for Allegiant before federal, state and airport authorities. Champions a culture of continuous improvement, customer focus and employee engagement across both Allegiant and vendor teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead base accountability for Allegiant, driving cross-functional collaboration across Inflight, Flight Operations, Maintenance, and vendor teams.
- Chair weekly performance reviews to monitor KPIs, resolve operational blockers, and address issues impacting on-time performance, baggage reliability, and safety management systems.
- Oversee local Service-Level Agreements (SLAs), auditing vendor compliance and initiating corrective actions when standards are not met.
- Represent Allegiant in all regulatory, governmental, and airport authority matters, including interactions with FAA, TSA, and city officials.
- Audit service provider training compliance through regular review of training records and monthly evaluations.
- Monitor vendor invoices for contract alignment, escalating discrepancies or billing issues as needed.
- Ensure effective ground support equipment (GSE) management and completion of required reporting.
- Align base team communications and station initiatives with corporate strategy.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for unresolved safety, service, or performance concerns.
- Coordinate cross-functional responses to irregular operations and support decision-making among base stakeholders.
- Address escalated customer complaints in partnership with Customer Relations and relevant departments.
- Foster continuous improvement and recognition through joint initiatives with Allegiant and vendor leadership.
- Support talent development for base personnel via coaching, feedback, and cross-functional exposure.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
- High School Diploma/GED Certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years' of airline operations experience, including two (2) years' of management experience preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years' managing cross-functional operations preferred.
- Proven experience leading and developing management teams.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to assess emergencies quickly and respond with sound judgment, flexibility, and composure.
- Must reside within 60 minutes of the assigned airport due to the nature of the role.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrates a collaborative, team-oriented approach with a consistently positive attitude.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a customer-first mindset.
- Willingness and ability to travel at least twice per year, or as needed, to support operational performance in other cities.
- Must obtain and maintain Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to attend and complete all required training programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Provision of personal information to the state may be required as part of the liquor license requirements for the company.
