General Manager - Orange

Wendy’s of Western Virginia, a locally owned franchise with 14 restaurants, is growing and seeking career-minded, motivated General Managers to lead teams in Roanoke and Lynchburg locations.

About the role

As a General Manager, you will set the tone for a fun, fast-paced, family-friendly environment while managing staff and operations. You’ll build and empower a team focused on increasing profits, providing superior service, and maintaining high standards in quality, service, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to create a restaurant of choice by delivering the best food in a friendly, fast-paced environment.
• Control and monitor store cash, inventory, and equipment to ensure operational success.
• Manage, empower, and assist your team in achieving organizational goals, including "Service Excellence" for every customer.
• Set and maintain standards for Continuous Improvement of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness across all dayparts.
• Perform HR duties to maximize employee engagement and retention, including interviewing and recommending candidates.
• Complete all required administrative duties and provide A+ training for every employee.
• Ensure all food safety procedures are executed at a high level, in accordance with Company and Health Department standards.

Requirements

• Restaurant/retail experience, including customer service.
• College degree or 3–4 years of line operations experience in the restaurant industry.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including late nights (most drive-thrus open until midnight).
• Strong customer service, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and travel to banks, other restaurants, or the Area Office as needed.
• Reliability is a must.
