About the role
The General Manager at America’s Best is responsible for leading the store’s operations, ensuring high-quality service, and driving sales and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of all daily store operations, including staffing, inventory management, bookkeeping, planning, and enforcement of company policies.
- Leadership, training, and development of associates through consistent coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities.
- Monitoring store performance and guiding associates to deliver outstanding customer and patient experiences.
- Partnering with the Doctor to ensure every patient receives the highest level of care.
- Conducting store audits and upholding quality, merchandising, and service standards.
- Maintaining open communication with the District Manager and providing accurate reporting.
- Ensuring the store and facility meet all corporate and safety standards.
- Executing marketing, merchandising, and promotional initiatives according to brand standards.
- Managing budgets, supplies, and inventory to meet financial goals.
- Recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent, creating schedules based on business needs and store traffic.
- Leading by example, coaching your team toward sales and service excellence.
- Providing clear, timely feedback and performance evaluations, while addressing issues proactively.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining accurate associate files and records.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of retail experience. Supervising experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the optical industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and build strong associate relationships.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of store operations and business performance.
