General Manager- Midwest Region

About the Role

As a General Manager, you will plan, manage, and guide contracted services for multiple sites for a client or for multiple clients, typically generating $2-15M+ in revenue. Your goal is to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives, and customer needs. Services may include food service, facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging, transportation, and more.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team that provides operational expertise in contracted services while providing hands-on execution management of operations.
• Manages client and community relationships, continually assesses operations, and develops plans to optimize service, drive employee and customer satisfaction.
• Builds, develops, and leads a management team and staff to achieve organizational objectives.
• Recommends methods, resources, and implementation strategies for service improvement and growth, based on operational needs, capabilities, and contractual obligations.
• Manages budgets in partnership with Finance, assists in designing improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, maintains associated records and reports.
• Maintains compliance with Aramark's standards of operation, including safety standards and the Business Conduct Policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree highly preferred in Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management.
• Strong focus on client and customer service, entrepreneurship, and growing a strong business.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, senior management, and support staff.
• Ability to read, understand, and implement contractual requirements, identifying opportunities within contract terms to address operational issues.
• Meaningful experience in the service industry, contract services, or hospitality environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing through other managers.
• Experience creating and managing department budgets, financial controls, and analysis.
• Experience developing product sales strategies and implementing operational programs and initiatives.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. It may also require the use of uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
