About the role
The General Manager in Distribution is responsible for leading and managing a team to achieve high performance at the distribution sites. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating a diverse team to meet business objectives and customer targets.
- Ensuring effective operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- Implementing new working patterns to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicating effectively with employees, trade unions, and customers.
- Managing relationships within the customer network and formulating partnerships.
- Succession planning and identifying key issues and priorities.
- Maximizing weekly, monthly, and annual performance through leadership and focus on customer requirements.

Requirements
- Graduate calibre with 5 years experience in logistics management roles.
- IT literate.
- Familiarity with finance and profit & loss management.
- Experience in project management.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing food logistics experience.
- People leadership skills.
- Commercial acumen and ability to negotiate and contract.
- Ability to identify key issues and priorities and lead change.
- Strong business English and the ability to achieve results in complex situations.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree.
- 5+ years of logistics management experience.
- Experience in manufacturing food logistics.
- Leadership and motivational skills.
- Project management experience.
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
