About the role
We are seeking a General Manager to lead the Employer of Record (EOR) business end-to-end. This leader will own the strategy, growth trajectory, and operational excellence of our largest business unit, ensuring it continues to scale globally while expanding into new verticals and industries. The EOR business sits at the center of Deel’s mission: enabling companies to build global teams without friction. The role will own the EOR P&L and growth strategy, with a mandate to accelerate expansion while evolving the product and operational model to support increasingly complex global use cases. A key focus will be verticalizing the people offering, tailoring EOR solutions for industries with unique regulatory, operational, and workforce requirements—such as shipping, mining, entertainment, and other complex global sectors.
Responsibilities
- Own the EOR business end-to-end with full P&L, growth strategy, and global operating performance.
- Accelerate growth, define and execute the roadmap to expand market leadership.
- Drive verticalization, build industry-specific EOR solutions (e.g., shipping, mining, entertainment).
- Scale operations, oversee global compliance, onboarding, payroll, and lifecycle; build for efficiency and scale.
- Lead cross-functional execution, align Product, Engineering, GTM, Finance, and Legal around clear priorities.
- Evolve the product toward a more scalable, tech-enabled platform (automation, APIs, CX).
- Operate with data to prioritize investments and improve performance.
- Act as the face of EOR internally and externally with key stakeholders.
Requirements
- 15+ years experience in GM, operations, or workforce platforms.
- Proven track record owning and scaling large P&L businesses in high-growth environments.
- Experience in global, regulated, and operationally complex businesses.
- Ability to lead large, matrixed organizations and influence without authority.
- Strategic + hands-on operator with strong execution rigor.
- Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Strong product and operational judgment.
- Executive presence with C-suite credibility.

Pay
Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission. Salary ranges are quoted in USD as a global reference and will be localized to your country's currency using a market-aligned conversion. Final pay is based on objective, job-related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
