General Manager - DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Bayside
About the role
As General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston Bayside, you will lead all aspects of hotel operations, driving exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and a high-performing team culture. Overseeing this full-service property, you will provide strategic leadership across rooms, food & beverage, sales, and operations while ensuring consistent execution of Hilton brand standards. You will foster strong relationships with ownership, university and community partners, and key stakeholders while developing an engaged, service-driven team.
Responsibilities
Managing and optimizing hotel operations: Lead the hotel with strategic oversight of all departments — ensuring alignment with Hilton brand standards. Through effective budgeting, forecasting, and service delivery, drive operational excellence and a seamless guest experience. Identify inefficiencies and leverage guest feedback to implement targeted improvements that enhance workflow, reduce waste, and elevate service. Focus on continuous improvement, coaching, and innovation to strengthen team performance and consistently exceed guest expectations.
Managing commercial financial performance: Take full ownership of the property’s financial performance, including sales, revenue, and finance. Set and achieve targets for key performance indicators like GOP and RevPAR, while maintaining strong financial discipline. Collaborate closely with the hotel’s commercial team and lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes to ensure sustained financial health and business agility.
Communicating with key stakeholders: Maintain alignment on business goals, operational strategies, and performance expectations. Deliver regular updates, collaborate on long-term planning, and act as a trusted advisor, ensuring transparency and partnership at every level.
Leading and developing on-property teams: Cultivate a high-performing, people-first culture by recruiting top talent, championing diversity and inclusion, and supporting the professional development of every team member. Through performance management, coaching, and recognition programs, inspire engagement, accountability, and continuous growth. Qualifications
Experience managing a property with $10 Million revenue and 200+ rooms
Minimum two years' Hotel Manager or five years Executive Member experience at a similar-sized or larger hotel
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a positive organizational culture
Ability to collaborate effectively with the sales team to drive business growth
Experience managing owner relations and fostering positive partnerships
Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability
