The General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Denver Airport functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property. Responsibilities include managing property operations and budgets, overseeing sales and marketing strategy, ensuring profitability, and delivering a return on investment to both Marriott International and ownership.
Responsibilities
- Manage property operations and department budgets
- Verify service programs, provide feedback, and manage labor budget
- Delegate responsibilities and prepare for QA audits
- Manage relationships with decision makers and interact with in-house guests
- Work with Market Sales to establish property sales strategy and extend stay occupancy targets
- Coach and reinforce associate selling strategies, and develop revenue-generating strategies
- Participate in property sales review, collaborate with Regional Marketing & eCommerce Managers, and monitor sales strategy
- Identify key revenue generating stakeholders and customers, and communicate information to sales offices
- Manage human resource activities, conduct performance reviews, and facilitate training
- Support recruitment and hiring efforts, and participate in conference calls
Requirements
Candidates must have a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 6 years of mixed management experience, or a 4-year bachelor's degree in the same fields with 4 years of mixed management experience.
Qualifications
Experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional areas is required.
Skills
Strong leadership skills, ability to manage budgets, and experience in sales and marketing are essential.
