Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the US growth strategy in alignment with the Board’s vision.
- Drive market expansion, revenue growth, and profitability for preclinical services.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the US biopharma/CRO landscape.
- Oversee all US operations, including Boston and California sites, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Optimize resource allocation, budgeting, and financial performance to meet or exceed KPIs.
- Implement scalable processes to support rapid growth and cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team across two locations.
- Foster a high-performance culture by attracting top talent, enhancing staff capabilities, and promoting innovation.
- Strengthen cross-site collaboration and align US teams with global corporate values.
- Expand the US client base through strategic partnerships, client acquisition, and retention initiatives.
- Leverage existing networks and build relationships with key stakeholders in pharma, biotech, and regulatory bodies.
- Elevate the company’s brand as a preferred preclinical CRO partner in the US market.
- Report regularly to the Board on financial performance, strategic milestones, and risk management.
- Collaborate with global leadership to integrate US operations with international strategies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or related majors in pharmaceutical research.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical/CRO industry, including 3+ years in executive roles (e.g., VP/SVP/C-level).
- Operations: Proven track record of leading teams about 100+ employees.
- Preclinical Services: Extensive experience in preclinical services (e.g., drug discovery, toxicology, DMPK) within the US market.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of US FDA regulations, preclinical research trends, and CRO competitive dynamics.
- Network: Established network with key decision-makers in biopharma companies and academic institutions.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to drive cultural integration, organizational change, and cross-functional alignment. Outstanding communication skills, with fluency in Chinese & English.
