About the Role

Manages the day-to-day operations of Roadrunner Lanes Bowling Center, which includes a 10-lane center, a bar, and food service. Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit-generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base. Prepares financial and operational briefings as required.

Oversees the operations of a variety of ancillary departments and recreational activities, including snack bar, billiards, catering services, and bingo. Monitors the procurement of all supplies, equipment, and retail items for the activity. Represents the activity at conferences, to special interest groups, and other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a bowling center, bar, and food service.
• Develop and implement instructions and directives to ensure profitable business operations.
• Prepare financial and operational briefings as required.
• Oversee ancillary departments such as snack bar, billiards, catering services, and bingo.
• Monitor procurement of supplies, equipment, and retail items.
• Represent the activity at conferences and to special interest groups or agencies.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Able and willing to work days, nights, weekends, and special events as needed.
• Must obtain (within the first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency (e.g., ServSafe Certification Program).

Qualifications

Resumes must clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following:

• Minimum of three years of experience in bowling center management.
• A two-year associate's degree in a business-related field may substitute for one year of experience.
• A four-year bachelor's degree in a business-related field may substitute for two years of experience.
• Highly preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in managing or directing the activities of a bowling alley or family entertainment center.
• Highly preferred: Minimum of two years' experience in food and beverage operations and ServSafe certification.

Pay

This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs may be authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
