General Manager
About the Role
As a General Manager at Victra, the largest Verizon authorized retailer in the United States, you will shape the guest experience by coaching your team to deliver their best with Every Guest, Every Time. You will exceed sales targets while maintaining operational excellence, develop your Assistant General Manager, and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment. This role focuses on optimizing both customer and employee experiences, driving business growth, and acting as a brand advocate for Victra.
Responsibilities
- Drive high-performance results in a demanding solutions sales environment.
- Mentor and develop your Assistant General Manager and sales team.
- Build, coach, and lead your team to follow the sales process with Every Guest, Every Time.
- Attract and retain top talent while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Provide ongoing sales training and support to exceed sales, retention, quality, and service objectives.
- Engage in sales strategy development to showcase products and services effectively.
- Ensure store employees meet monthly success measurements and complete assigned training on time.
- Develop and implement sales tools and initiatives.
- Maintain retail inventory compliance and manage store operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and sales reporting.
- Drive in-store traffic and capitalize on the existing customer base through innovative strategies.
- Own store success, including staffing, scheduling, labor controls, marketing, loss prevention, and all store functions.
- Resolve guest escalations in a timely manner.
- Communicate company objectives and priorities clearly to the team and provide follow-up.
- Stay updated on new sales promotions and provide guests with complete solutions for their needs.
- Complete required trainings and attend weekly sales leadership calls.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a retail sales environment.
- 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
- Management experience in a commissions-based sales environment.
- Proven track record of achieving challenging team and individual sales goals.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a multifaceted environment.
- Experience setting goals, evaluating performance, and developing high-performing teams.
- Basic interview skills and staffing knowledge.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One or more years of customer service experience, preferably in retail or sales.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods (e.g., November through December).
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to ten pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Training Requirements
- Complete a 4-day New Hire University (NHU) training program within 30 days of your start date (may include overnight travel at the company’s expense).
- Complete a 3-day General Manager University (SMU) training program within 30 days of completing NHU (may include overnight travel at the company’s expense).
- Complete various online and computer-based training throughout your employment.

Pay
Base rate of $22.90/hour with uncapped earning potential through commission.
