About the role
Vertin is looking for a General Manager who's just as comfortable leading a team and a P&L as they are standing beside a family on one of the hardest days of their lives. This is a role for someone who wants to grow market share, develop people, and keep a century-old mission alive in their community — one story at a time. This position will work onsite at our Gillette, WY firm. Relocation is offered.

- Community & brand presence: Champion active associate involvement in the communities you serve; review and elevate current marketing and community engagement efforts; lead the way on social media as a tool for connection and visibility.
- Serving families: Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial services with professionalism, organization, and genuine care, in keeping with Vertin policy; grow your business's presence through active involvement in community, religious, and civic organizations; keep your location's local and online marketing current and accurate.
- Service excellence: Promote a safe, healthy work environment; stay current on all professional, state, and federal funeral service licensing requirements; provide compassionate aftercare — delivering documents, cards, and information on insurance and pre-arrangements to next of kin; share pre-need referrals with your Preneed Specialist; support service logistics: parking, ushering, driving funeral vehicles, floral delivery, supply runs, and special events; prepare accurate service and cremation documentation and handle related office duties; help maintain funeral home vehicles, facilities, property, and supply inventory.
