General Manager

About the role

True Food Kitchen is a full‑service restaurant collection with locations coast to coast, known for serving nutrient‑dense, thoughtfully crafted dishes for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. This role partners with front‑of‑house (FOH) and back‑of‑house (BOH) management teams to maximize sales, optimize profits, and uphold the brand’s standards of food quality and service.

Responsibilities

• Partner with FOH and BOH management to maximize sales and optimize profits through management of P&L’s, inventory, and controllable cash, achieving forecasting and budget results.
• Run high‑volume service periods from the floor or expo, ensuring food quality, service, table presentation, and adherence to True Food Kitchen standards.
• Perform precise line checks and facility walks with the BOH team, follow up with documentation, and participate in all EcoSure & Health inspections to maintain a safe production environment.
• Manage all FOH & BOH employees, in partnership with the Executive Chef, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, labor cost control, training, development, performance appraisals, rewards, and disciplinary actions.
• Facilitate formal and informal development channels for management and key hourly team members.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a manager in a full‑service, high‑volume restaurant.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of the financial aspects of restaurant operations.
• Passion for creating memorable dining experiences and exceeding guest expectations.
• Resilience in stressful situations and ability to handle last‑minute requests.
• Self‑motivated, caring attitude with a strong aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence.
