About the role

The General Manager oversees operations and sales at a fitness club, driving results and maintaining a positive, inclusive culture. Key responsibilities include managing the team, financial performance, and club operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the pace, financial performance, and consistency in the club.
  • Drive operational goals, objectives, and priorities for Lead roles and responsible for attainment of Club financial results.
  • Hire and develop the club team with particular emphasis on lead positions.
  • Communicate, uphold, and lead by example to deliver the "House of our club" approach, purpose, and foundation.
  • Manage a clean, friendly, and well-maintained club.
  • Ensure that all team members create and maintain our "UPLIFT" culture in the club.

Requirements

  • Minimum certifications/educational level: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of progressive management experience supervising 1-10 employees, 2-4 years of broad retail/hospitality/service industry experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Financial planning and knowledge of P&L statements, ability to work at a fast pace while prioritizing and multi-tasking effectively, proficiency in sales, marketing and operations plans, leading and developing team, knowledge of fitness industry preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a club office environment and move throughout club floors and rooms, ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to support the needs of the business, including frequent extended workdays, weekends and holidays may be required.

Skills

  • Financial planning and knowledge of P&L statements.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace while prioritizing and multi-tasking effectively.
  • Proficiency in sales, marketing and operations plans.
  • Leading and developing team.
  • Knowledge of fitness industry.

Pay

$60,000 - $71,000 salary, FLSA status: Exempt.
