General Manager
About the role

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of our poker room. This role oversees all aspects of the guest experience, staff performance, financial management, and venue compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support all departments, including the poker room and guest services.
- Ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining high levels of efficiency, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee hiring, training, and scheduling for all staff.
- Enforce company policies, operational standards, and gaming/bar compliance procedures.
- Monitor and manage labor costs, food & beverage, and venue profitability.
- Handle customer issues, player disputes, and guest feedback professionally.
- Create and maintain a culture of service excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
- Collaborate with marketing to plan, promote, and execute poker events.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws (including health, labor, liquor, and gaming regulations).
- Oversee inventory control, purchasing, and vendor relations.
- Analyze daily/weekly/monthly performance reports and implement strategic improvements.
- Work closely with ownership and executive leadership to achieve short- and long-term business goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by regional leadership or ownership.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of Poker Director, General Management or senior leadership experience in hospitality, gaming, or restaurant/bar operations (Required).
- Knowledge of poker/card room operations and food & beverage service preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to hire, manage, and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Strong financial literacy, including experience with budgeting, labor tracking, P&L statements, and POS systems.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or high-volume situations.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- ServSafe, TABC certification, or equivalent food/alcohol handling certifications preferred, or the ability to get them.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The work environment is a poker room with high energy, music, bright lights, and constant guest interaction. The physical requirements include mobility, dexterity, vision, hearing, communication, endurance, and lifting. Qualifications and Benefits
This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with a total compensation of up to $120,000/annual with performance bonuses. Benefits include medical insurance, dental & vision insurance, paid time off, and bonus and incentive programs.
