About the role

The General Manager oversees all operations of Sloomoo Inc., leading a staff of 40+ in delivering an exceptional experience for guests and producing thousands of tons of slime annually. Key responsibilities include full P&L responsibility, managing budgets, staff, and operations, and ensuring brand integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Full P&L responsibility
  • Develop and manage multi-million-dollar budget, forecast, and profitability
  • Manage floor manager, production, retail store manager, and staff
  • Manage procurement and inventory
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure staff are following all Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain brand integrity throughout the experience
  • Operate multi-million-dollar retail store, develop planograms, manage promotions, signage, product placement, etc.
  • Provide leadership and line management to the Sloomoo Inc. team
  • Support all operational departments to regularly review their working practices and seek improvements to reduce the likelihood of accidents
  • Maximize guest admissions income from the forecast and work with the senior management team to set future forecasts and budgets
  • Control Labor spend to ensure we are hitting and exceeding targets
  • Provide a world-class guest experience as evidenced by positive survey results
  • Provide an engaging and rewarding workplace for all employees with a competitive retention rate and proven promotion
  • Meet (and exceed) projected guest count and projections
  • Create and implement improvements for guest satisfaction, employee experience, and revenue growth
  • Data Driven - use data to drive your decision making for sales and production
  • Complete accident/incident report with documented follow through and resolution for each incident within 24 hours of the incident

Qualifications

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field
  • Experience in operational management within a guest-facing operation
  • Budgetary and line management experience (essential)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly and approachable manner with staff from across the organization
  • Energetic, perceptive, confident problem solver with a good sense of humor
