About the role
The General Manager oversees all operations of Sloomoo Inc., leading a staff of 40+ in delivering an exceptional experience for guests and producing thousands of tons of slime annually. Key responsibilities include full P&L responsibility, managing budgets, staff, and operations, and ensuring brand integrity.
Responsibilities
- Full P&L responsibility
- Develop and manage multi-million-dollar budget, forecast, and profitability
- Manage floor manager, production, retail store manager, and staff
- Manage procurement and inventory
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure staff are following all Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain brand integrity throughout the experience
- Operate multi-million-dollar retail store, develop planograms, manage promotions, signage, product placement, etc.
- Provide leadership and line management to the Sloomoo Inc. team
- Support all operational departments to regularly review their working practices and seek improvements to reduce the likelihood of accidents
- Maximize guest admissions income from the forecast and work with the senior management team to set future forecasts and budgets
- Control Labor spend to ensure we are hitting and exceeding targets
- Provide a world-class guest experience as evidenced by positive survey results
- Provide an engaging and rewarding workplace for all employees with a competitive retention rate and proven promotion
- Meet (and exceed) projected guest count and projections
- Create and implement improvements for guest satisfaction, employee experience, and revenue growth
- Data Driven - use data to drive your decision making for sales and production
- Complete accident/incident report with documented follow through and resolution for each incident within 24 hours of the incident
Qualifications
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field
- Experience in operational management within a guest-facing operation
- Budgetary and line management experience (essential)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly and approachable manner with staff from across the organization
- Energetic, perceptive, confident problem solver with a good sense of humor
