General Manager
About The Role
Salem’s Fresh Eats is a place where we not only serve fresh food but also fresh energy, flavor, and hospitality. As a General Manager, you will lead one of our restaurants as if it were your own business. Your responsibilities include recruiting, training, and leading a high-performing team, creating memorable guest experiences, and ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture: Recruit, train, and lead restaurant staff; implement strong training programs; recognize and reward outstanding performance; foster a “learn and improve” culture.
People Development: Coach, mentor, and develop team members through ongoing feedback and personalized development plans.
Guest Experience: Handle guest feedback with empathy and professionalism; lead the team to deliver consistent, high-quality food and service.
Operations Management: Oversee all daily restaurant operations; manage scheduling, staffing levels, and performance; conduct regular facility walk-throughs.
Sales, Marketing & Community Engagement: Execute local marketing initiatives; analyze performance data; partner with your team to promote specials, events, and brand campaigns; build relationships with guests and the community.
Financial & Inventory Management: Achieve sales and profit goals; manage labor, food, and controllable costs; maintain accurate financial reporting; conduct regular inventory audits.
What You Bring
Proven leadership experience in a restaurant or fast-paced hospitality environment.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to coach and motivate diverse teams while maintaining a positive, professional tone.
Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards.
Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control experience.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Flexibility to relocate to a store within a radius of 50 miles from home, as needed.
ServeSafe certification and successful completion of company management certification required.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional culinary or management training is a plus.
