About the role
The General Manager at Retro Fitness is responsible for the overall performance and experience of the club. This includes driving sales and retention, managing a high-performing team, and ensuring the club operates within budget.
Responsibilities
- Own membership growth, personal training revenue, and retention
- Build and hold accountable a high performing team
- Reinforce Retro Fitness standards through daily example
- Be visible on the floor coaching staff and engaging members
- Resolve member issues with confidence and professionalism
- Manage schedules, payroll accuracy, and staffing coverage
- Track key metrics and manage the club to budget
- Partner closely with your Regional Manager on strategy and results
- Work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays except Christmas
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years in fitness, retail, or hospitality
- Proven experience driving sales and retention
- Comfortable owning performance metrics and budgets
- Strong communicator who can coach and correct in the moment
- High accountability and hands-on leadership style
- CPR certified or willing to obtain within 30 days
- Background in personal training sales
- Track record of improving club performance
- Desire to grow into multi unit leadership
- Bachelor’s degree
