Job Description

Prosegur is now hiring an energetic, dynamic, and dedicated General Manager to help drive the business to the next level. This person will report daily to the (City, State) branch office and partner closely with the Human Resource Business Partner, who reports directly to the SVP.

Job Skills / Requirements

The General Manager role is an on-site position that partners closely with the SVP and Human Resources, proactively communicating and ensuring compliance with all reporting and operational requirements. This role is responsible for overseeing the local branch and managing key operational processes aligned with business objectives. The General Manager will also leverage corporate HR and executive resources such as workforce planning tools, strategic hiring initiatives, and Microsoft Office to implement efficient, data-driven solutions that support organizational goals.

Summary of Duties

The General Manager role is responsible for security operations and customer contract services for the Guarding division. They must maintain performance and operate within fiscal parameters, with strong P&L management being a must. They are also required to ensure and maintain sound audit procedures complying with governmental regulations. Additionally, they are responsible for recruiting and interviewing new employees to meet the needs of guarding clients, executing operations and training, regularly meeting with customers, developing client relations, establishing scheduling requirements, training staff, counseling, evaluating, and documenting employee performance, preparing reports, investigating, responding to questions, and providing documentation. They must follow all safety rules, observe and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to the proper authority, and may be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on the SVP's needs or client activity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for security operations and customer contract services for the Guarding division
  • Maintain performance and operate within fiscal parameters; strong P&L management is a must
  • Ensure and maintain sound audit procedures complying with governmental regulations
  • Recruit and interview new employees to meet the needs of our guarding clients
  • Execute operations and training while maintaining the sound discipline of corporate procedures
  • Regularly meet with customers to ensure mutual goals and objectives are met
  • Develop client relations and secure new business opportunities
  • Establish the scheduling requirements for employees/agents under their supervision. Makes assignments to ensure that positions are covered, and that the Client is being served in accordance with their needs. Responsible for placing staff due to call-offs and time off requested
  • Train staff, counsel, evaluate and document employee performance. Provides direction for employees through appropriate communication. Issues disciplinary action and makes a corrective action plan to assist employees in altering their behavior. Commends employees for outstanding achievement
  • Prepare reports, investigate, respond to questions, and provide documentation
  • Follow all safety rules. Observes and reports any unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to the proper authority
  • May be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on the SVP's needs or client activity

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use proper body mechanics while performing duties
  • Demonstrate the ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
  • Possess empathetic abilities in dealing with employees and their questions
  • Demonstrate ability to work with others and interact appropriately
  • Maintain communication with the team on any changes that may affect operations

Experience

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience managing security or related industry operations
  • P&L Management
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Profit & loss: 3 years (Required)
  • Security Management: 3 years (Required)

Travel Requirements

Travel up to 25%, may include overnight trips

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
