Key Project Requirements
- 10+ years of leadership experience supporting district energy, utility, CHP, power generation, or large campus infrastructure operations.
- Strong knowledge of steam, chilled water, hot water, electrical distribution, and CHP systems.
- Experience managing plant operations, maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, and capital projects.
- Demonstrated financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, KPI management, and P&L responsibility.
- Prioritizing experience leading teams and effectively communicating with customers, executive leadership, and key stakeholders.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for district energy operations and utility infrastructure assets.
- Manage plant performance, reliability, safety, and environmental compliance programs.
- Lead maintenance planning and asset management activities.
- Oversee capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, and system expansion initiatives.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
- Support business growth initiatives and strategic planning efforts.
- Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of steam, chilled water, hot water, electrical distribution, and CHP systems.
- Experience leading operations and maintenance teams within industrial, utility, or campus environments.
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems and operational KPIs.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in utility operations, power generation, district energy, or similar infrastructure environments.
- Previous Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Utility Manager, or General Manager experience preferred.
- Experience supporting university campuses, hospitals, municipalities, or CHP facilities is highly desirable.
Compensation Range per year
$130,000 - $150,000
