General Manager

Job Overview

As the General Manager of Not Your Average Joe's, you will oversee all aspects of the location. The hospitality, training, staffing, food quality, sanitation, and overall financial health of the restaurant.

Reporting

You will report to the Regional Director and oversee all manager, chefs, and hourly positions, providing leadership and ensuring the consistent execution of our quality standards, operating systems, procedures, philosophies, and culture.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensuring that our restaurant is fully and appropriately staffed at all times
• Interviews, trains, counsels, and coaches staff
• Ensures all training materials, development and schedules are being followed
• Clearly communicates with all Team Members
• Ensures a harassment-free environment for all Team Members
• Manages and makes adjustments to labor on a shift-to-shift basis while ensuring we don't harm the Guest experience
• Achieves budgeted sales and profit goals
• Maintains operational excellence so our restaurant is running efficiently and effectively
• Ensures that all laws, regulations, and guidelines are being followed
• Creates a restaurant atmosphere that both patrons and employees enjoy
• Variety of other tasks as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience as a restaurant manager
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge, and the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
• Great leadership skills
• Familiarity with restaurant management software
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate a staff
• Exhibits a neat, clean, and professional image at all times
• Genuinely hospitable, warm, sensitive, and polite to our Guests
• Excellent problem resolution/Guest recovery skills
• Attention to detail/organized
• Able to work while standing and moving at a rapid pace for 10 hours as the job requires
• Dependable, trustworthy
• Team player
