General Manager

About the role

The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring it meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This is a significant role requiring previous experience managing high-volume locations or similar fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Works with a leader to set restaurant goals and create a plan to achieve them.
• Leads a team of Department Managers, setting their goals, monitoring progress, and providing coaching and direction to enhance performance.
• Makes sure the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future by hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers.
• Manages a team to ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and meets quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a General Manager in high-volume locations.
• A background in quick-service restaurants or hospitality/review industry.
• Must be 18 years or older to manage in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.

Pay and Benefits

• Certified General Manager salary starts at $58,656 per year with a maximum of $80,000.
• Starting wage/salary for non-certified GMs is based on verifiable work history.
