About the Role
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This role involves setting the restaurant’s goals, creating a plan to achieve them, and leading a team of Department Managers to improve overall performance.
The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a strong team for the future.
Responsibilities
- Run a profitable restaurant while maintaining high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
- Set restaurant goals in collaboration with leadership and create actionable plans to achieve them.
- Lead and coach a team of Department Managers, helping them set and meet their own goals.
- Improve individual Departments to enhance overall restaurant performance.
- Hire, develop, and train Department and Shift Managers for future leadership.
Requirements
- Previous General Manager experience, preferably in high-volume locations.
- Background in quick-service restaurants, hospitality, or retail is strongly desired.
- Must be 18 years or older to manage in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.

This position is for a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is solely responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, scheduling, and supervision.
