About the Role

The General Manager is responsible for setting a positive culture within the restaurant, running a profitable operation, building guest counts, and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The General Manager acts as a culture ambassador, working with leadership to set restaurant goals, create execution plans, and lead the team to success. This role involves developing and leading a team of Department Managers, helping them set and achieve their own goals, and providing coaching to improve department performance. The General Manager is also responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Know, execute, and adapt to new and existing System Maps
• Effectively manage P&Ls and identify efficiencies to meet company goals
• Lead teams (Crew, Shift Leaders, and Department Leaders) to meet performance goals set by supervisors and the Owner/Operator
• Oversee hiring, scheduling, and team development
• Manage labor, TPPH (Transactions Per Person-Hour), food cost, and food over base
• Ensure planned maintenance (M&R) is executed
• Monitor VOICE & Guest Reviews and address feedback
• Improve Profit After Controllables (PAC)
• Prepare for and participate in field visits and inspections
• Conduct monthly Shift Leader meetings
• Report monthly sales performance and develop action plans with supervisors
• Participate in bi-weekly restaurant leadership (RL) walkthroughs with supervisors
• Hold 1:1 meetings with supervisors and/or Owner/Operator to discuss performance, action items, and resource needs
