General Manager
About the role
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring it meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Supervisor and Director of Operations to set the restaurant’s goals and create a plan to achieve them.
- Lead a team of Department Managers, helping them set their own goals, follow up on their progress, and provide coaching and direction to improve their departments.
- Hire and develop all management team members to ensure the restaurant has the right team for the future.
- Train and develop all staff.
- Plan for success by proactively leading and managing People processes such as recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
- Be in the know by planning for and making critical business decisions around inventory, budget, and food ordering/costs.
- Take action first by ensuring food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald’s standards of excellence.
- Inspire and empower by maintaining high levels of standard for guest and employee safety.
- Oversee all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence.
Requirements
- Previous General Manager experience running high volume locations.
- A background in quick-service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a General Manager in our locally owned restaurant.
- Previous McDonald’s experience preferred or 2+ years Supervisory Experience in a Food Service Environment with Profit & Loss Accountability and Team Member Development.
- Customer Obsessed Personality, Reliable Team Leader who works well with others.
- Conscientious and takes pride in oneself and a job well done.
