The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring it meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Works with leader to set restaurant goals and create a plan to achieve them.
- Leads a team of Department Managers, helping them set goals, follow up on progress, and provide coaching and direction.
- Makes sure the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future by hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers.
- Manages all aspects of the restaurant, including food production, guest service, and direct crew and manager work.
- Proactively leads and manages People processes such as recruiting, hiring, onboarding, staffing, performance management, training, and motivation.
- Plays a key role in planning for success by making critical business decisions around inventory, budget, and food ordering/costs.
- Ensures food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald’s standards of excellence.
- Maintains high levels of safety for both guests and employees.
- Oversees all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence.
Requirements
- Previous General Manager experience running high volume locations.
- A background in quick service restaurants or hospitality/re retail.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
