About the role
The role is a General Manager position with a clear trajectory toward President. We are looking for someone who can take the wheel operationally so our CEO can step back to the work only she can do. You'll lead the day-to-day operation of the business: the people, the systems, the rhythm, and the execution.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day operations and organizational accountability across the business
- Lead team leadership, coaching, and development — recruiting, building, and when necessary, upgrading
- Build systems and processes: SOPs, workflows, dashboards, operating procedures that make excellence repeatable
- Execute strategy: translate vision into real plans with owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes
- Partner financially: budgeting, KPI monitoring, resource allocation, and decisions that protect profitability
- Steward organizational rhythm: prioritize, accountability, bottleneck removal, and ensure important things get done
- Steward cultural integrity: protect and strengthen what makes Kaas, Kaas as the company grows
Requirements
- You've been a strong #2 at a professional services firm (financial, legal, consulting, or adjacent)
- You're ready to be the #1 operator
- You've been a Director or VP of Operations somewhere larger and you're ready to stop navigating a big org and start building a better one
- You build things, create structure rather than waiting for it, hold people accountable without losing them, run toward complexity, and think like an owner
- You're energized by building — systems, teams, processes, culture
- You lead through clarity and influence, not hierarchy
- You're at your best in a high-standards, high-support environment
- You want to earn the President seat, not just be given a title
