General Manager

About the Role

The General Manager’s position is to maintain a safe, profitable, and comfortable work environment where employees can grow and learn, guests can relax, and the community feels a sense of belonging through local contributions and peer-based relationships. The General Manager will anticipate guest needs, market to the geographic area, and collaborate with the corporate office to drive sales growth and local brand recognition within the target demographic.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and enforce all corporate policies and procedures for Assistant Managers, Kitchen Manager, and hourly employees.
• Maintain a current manager food safety certification.
• Handle payroll calculation and all back-office duties.
• Manage all cash handling with documented record-keeping.
• Ensure invoices are submitted properly and on time.
• Maintain entertainment and advertising accounts for the store.
• Oversee the cleanliness, safety, and integrity of the restaurant’s interior and exterior through proper staffing and contracted purveyors.
• Perform in-store human resources functions, including hiring, firing, training, coaching, counseling, and developing employees (hourly staff, Assistant Managers, and Kitchen Manager).
• Oversee proper staffing and inventory levels.
• Communicate corporate and personal expectations to hourly staff and managers.
• Work directly with managers and hourly employees during shifts to ensure support, guest satisfaction, and adherence to industry standards, including:
  • 100% table visits.
  • Serving hot and fresh food in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining clean and presentable uniforms and personal hygiene standards for all staff.
  • Ensuring proper music and lighting levels.
  • Managing sports-related television programming.
  • Maintaining safe and dry floors.
  • Ensuring proper staffing levels.
  • Keeping all equipment in safe working condition.
