About the Role
The General Manager provides leadership and direction to theater operations to ensure all team members are guest-focused, team-focused, and contributing to enhancing the overall Emagine guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee employees in crew operations, ensuring outstanding customer service by consistently exceeding guest expectations.
- Oversee day-to-day theater operations to maintain efficiency and profitability standards.
- Respond to guest comments while educating and empowering employees to maintain high guest satisfaction and quality.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Finance on production-related content and sales strategies to increase revenue and meet operational objectives.
- Manage human resource functions, including recruitment, selection, orientation, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Monitor and report profit and loss findings to identify coaching opportunities and ensure operational objectives are met.
- Enforce safety, sanitary practices, and maintenance to comply with company policies, federal/state/local laws, and health inspection standards.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Hospitality Management, or equivalent experience.
- Two to three years of management experience in a theater or retail environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.

- Theater operations are performed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with policies and standards.
- Profit and loss budgets meet projected operating expectations.
- Guest service levels meet or exceed expectations; problems are resolved promptly and courteously.
- Strong working relationships exist with team members and management.
- Company sales goals are consistently met, and promotions are supported.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and taste or smell.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work hours may exceed 50 hours per week.
