About the role
We are a vibrant, community-driven, multi-unit restaurant concept in the Philadelphia suburbs, known for exceptional salads, pizzas, and more. We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Manayunk team and elevate daily operations, hospitality, and results.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including staffing, catering, and service
- Delegate tasks, enforce company checklists, and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain the lowest possible prime cost (labor + materials)
- Ensure all standard operating procedures and company policies are followed
- Complete the Ops Agenda and Restaurant Tour consistently during all shifts
- Serve as the face of the restaurant—frequently greeting and engaging with guests
- Ensure customer satisfaction is always the highest priority
- Follow up with guests who had less-than-ideal experiences
- Analyze feedback and implement improvements
- Submit thorough, substantiated bi-weekly scorecards aligned with role responsibilities
- Review daily cash-outs for accuracy and verify all paperwork
- Research vendor pricing and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Create, sample, and test new menu items; support menu development with cost-based pricing recommendations
- Seek regular feedback from all staff to drive engagement
- Continuously suggest ideas to improve efficiency and SOPs
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager or senior manager in a restaurant setting
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Financial acumen—comfortable analyzing P&L, labor costs, and food costs
- Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively under pressure
- Proactive problem solver with a hands-on mentality
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
