General Manager
About the Role
Crawlspace Medic, the leading franchise in the crawl space and basement repair industry, offers a unique path to franchise ownership. Instead of requiring upfront capital, we partner with investors—current franchisees who fund the market—while you run the business. As the business grows and hits its numbers, you buy out the investor’s stake and become the franchisee, owning the business outright.
You’ll start on a base salary with uncapped profit share, earning more as the market performs better. This is a performance-driven opportunity to build and own a business in your community.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the people, P&L, and performance of the franchise.
- Sell services, coach your team, and perform hands-on work (including inspections) until the team is fully built.
- Build and enforce standard operating procedures in a labor-intensive, process-driven environment.
- Recruit, develop, and retain strong team members.
- Handle sales, marketing, and capacity planning at the unit level.
- Maintain accountability for results and operate under pressure without losing focus.
Requirements
- Track record of leading teams to measurable results in a process-driven, labor-intensive environment.
- Experience building or enforcing standard operating procedures.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain strong people.
- Discipline to address challenges early and have hard conversations.
- Understanding of sales, marketing, and capacity planning at the unit level.
- Comfort with full accountability for results.
- Hunger for feedback and improvement, not validation.
- Grit to operate under pressure without losing focus.
Physical Demands: Expect to crawl on hands and knees, belly-crawl through tight, dark spaces, maneuver in confined areas, and handle light hand tools. This role is hands-on and requires comfort with physical labor.
Benefits
- Full-time, W-2, salary exempt position.
- Base salary + uncapped profit sharing.
- Company vehicle.
- 2 weeks PTO.
- Hands-on training and leadership development path.
Pay
Earnings potential for top performers:
- Year 1: ~$85,000
- Year 2: ~$100,000–$110,000
- Year 3: ~$125,000–$135,000
Additional value comes from ownership once you buy into the franchise.
Who Thrives Here
This is a blue-collar business built for servant-hearted leaders who are willing to do the work before delegating it. We’ve seen success from veterans, ministry leaders, equipment sales reps, former athletes, and more. What matters most is character: grit, accountability, and a commitment to building something of your own in your community.
