General Manager

About the role

The General Manager at Copperstate Farms and Sol Flower is responsible for managing and motivating a high level of service and productivity among the retail team. They oversee daily operations, schedule opening and closing, and guide all processes during hours of operation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate a high level of service and productivity amongst store management/dispensary retail team;
• Manage daily operations, schedule opening and closing, and guide all process and procedures during hours of operation;
• Manage the schedule to adequately staff the dispensary to meet all daily operational needs;
• Implement and maintain all staff KPI's to achieve goals;
• Train all employees on policies, processes, procedures, roles and responsibilities;
• Maintain a clean and organized retail environment, with focus on customer retention, product selection and retail flow and ambiance;
• Answer questions and assist with escalated customers if needed;
• Provide management and administrative support to the Director of Retail Operations;
• Manage all administrative duties relating the POS system which can include: Input purchase orders, run product reports, implement discount policy, monitor PAR levels, assist with Marketing strategy ROI analysis and identifying/reviewing trends;
• Manage product selection for the retail floor and assist through Inventory Managers to maintain proper stock levels and SKU selection;
• Balance cash registers, manage all cash accounts inclusive of daily deposits and petty cash, and responsible for all cash reporting;
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities;
• Work collectively and respectfully with all team members and management;
• Additional duties as assigned by Director(s)

Qualifications and Education

• Must be at least 21 years of age;
• Must be able to pass a background check to obtain, and maintain, a Facility Agent card in accordance with Arizona State Department of Health Services requirements;
• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• 2 years of retail and/or customer-facing experience preferred;
• Cannabis retail or education experience preferred;
• Product Knowledge: must be familiar with the variety of methods used for Cannabis consumption. Must be able to effectively address customers' concerns and complaints. Be professional in appearance, actions, and verbal communication. Must have cash handling experience and excellent mathematical skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy atmosphere. Ability to remain compliant in a highly regulated role. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication with customers, coworkers, and management. Knowledge of basic computer skills and point-of-sale software. Ability to solve problems in an efficient and professional manner. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts as scheduled and needed.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands;
• Frequently required physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials;
• Frequently stooping, bending, and reaching;
• Must work indoors and outdoors year-round;
• Must work in noisy and crowded environments;
• Lift 25-50 pounds from the floor to a waist-high table when necessary;
• Crouch & bend often;
• Stand for short/ high periods of time;
• Sit for short/ medium periods of time;
• Walk for short/high periods of time;
• Occasionally sit on the floor or at floor level;
• Handle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with this position.
