General Manager
About the Role
The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Lafayette, Louisiana Metropolitan Area, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the CLUB4 Fitness location. This role manages staff scheduling, performance, and training to ensure excellent member service and adherence to company standards. The General Manager monitors facility cleanliness, safety, and equipment maintenance, while driving membership growth through local outreach and effective sales practices.
Daily responsibilities include managing budgets, tracking key performance metrics, handling member feedback, and coordinating group fitness and personal training offerings. The General Manager collaborates with corporate leadership to implement policies, execute marketing initiatives, and maintain a welcoming environment that supports member engagement and retention.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the fitness facility.
- Manage staff scheduling, performance, and training.
- Ensure excellent member service and adherence to company standards.
- Monitor facility cleanliness, safety, and equipment maintenance.
- Drive membership growth through local outreach and sales practices.
- Manage budgets and track key performance metrics.

Qualifications
- Experience in fitness, wellness, or hospitality operations, with the ability to oversee day-to-day facility management and member services.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including staff supervision, coaching, performance management, and fostering an inclusive team culture.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to address member needs and build long-term relationships.
- Proficiency in basic business administration, including budgeting, scheduling, reporting, and use of membership or point-of-sale software.
- Sales and marketing aptitude, including promoting memberships, programs, and services through community engagement and in-club initiatives.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous management experience in a fitness club, retail, or service-oriented business with 20 or more direct reports is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, sports management, or related field is a plus.
