General Manager
In Good Health – Sandwich is a top-grossing, high-volume cannabis dispensary serving both medical and recreational customers. This is an opportunity to lead one of the busiest dispensaries in Massachusetts.
About the role
The General Manager is fully responsible for the medical and recreational dispensaries on the Sandwich campus and serves as the primary leader for a customer-centric operation. This individual should be a natural leader with the ability to motivate, delegate, and see projects from beginning to end, equally fluent in operations and human resources. The role requires comfort with operating a robust tech stack and teaching these tools to others. The General Manager works in tandem with the production team and other dispensaries to execute marketing campaigns, initiatives, trainings, and all aspects of running a vertically integrated cannabis company.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling: Work with the Assistant General Manager to study traffic patterns and devise staffing schedules for retail, inventory, and security personnel.
- Hiring: Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources to recruit, interview, and onboard the next leaders at In Good Health.
- Training: Consistently develop the team through one-on-one trainings, presentations, video tutorials, checklists, and other structured formats. Lead the team to deliver best-in-class customer service and effectively resolve customer complaints or concerns.
- Reviewing: Conduct annual performance reviews and provide real-time guidance to individuals as needed.
- Communication: Engage in multidirectional communication—cascading goals downward while relaying front-line realities upward. Effectively transmit operational changes, marketing campaigns, and other pertinent information to the team and customers.
- Inventory: Oversee all aspects of cannabis and non-cannabis product movement, from delivery to sale. Provide direction on restock lists, prioritization of aging product, organization of live and backstock inventory, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Compliance: Maintain knowledge of Massachusetts cannabis regulations and operate within those parameters. The dispensary’s last inspection by the Cannabis Control Commission yielded zero deficiencies.
- Innovation: Continuously question and explore better ways to operate, working with other departments to test and implement new ideas.
