About the role

The General Manager at Zaxby's is responsible for guiding and leading the team to create a positive culture and maintain high morale. Key responsibilities include executing and assisting in the development of action plans aligned with company goals, managing daily operations, and ensuring brand standards are consistently upheld.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in enhancing guest experiences by meeting and exceeding their expectations.
  • Increase sales and profits by building community relationships and providing excellent products and services.
  • Ensure an effective work schedule is posted weekly.
  • Demonstrate effective interviewing skills for hiring top performers.
  • Manage and orientate all levels of staff.
  • Ensure all training and certification processes are in place and fully compliant.
  • Provide clear development plans and performance reviews for management staff.
  • Execute quarterly business plans using systems, training, operation manuals, and other available resources.
  • Aid in the execution of marketing plans for Area Development Managers and Market Development Managers.
  • Mentor Assistant Managers in the operation of a Zaxby's unit and prepare them for future advancement.
  • Review daily numbers and coach and praise employees' results.
  • Lead by fostering excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment towards company objectives.
  • Maintain a flexible attitude that allows for performance beyond the scope of this position description.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • At least 1 year of restaurant management experience (Zaxby's preferred).
  • Available to work a minimum of 5 days and 40 to 50 hours per week.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of background check.
  • Completion of in-store training program.
  • Passing score of 90% or above on the Online ZFI AM test.
  • Phase III GM certification.
  • Passing score of 90% or above on the In-store ZFI Kitchen Demonstrative.
  • Food Manager Certification.
