About the role
The General Manager at Zaxby's is responsible for providing guidance and leadership to their team to create a positive culture and maintain high team morale. They are responsible for executing and assisting in developing action plans according to company goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Strive to enhance our guest experiences at every opportunity by satisfying and exceeding their expectations.
- Increase sales and profit by building community relationships/partnerships and providing outstanding product and service.
- Ensure an effective work schedule is posted each week.
- Demonstrate effective interviewing skills for hiring only top performers.
- Responsible for all levels of staffing and new hire orientations.
- Ensure all training and certification processes are in place and 100% compliant.
- Provide clear development plans and performance reviews for management staff.
- Execute quarterly business plans through the use of systems, training, operation manuals and all other available resources.
- Aid Area Development Managers and/or Market Development Manager in the execution of marketing plans.
- Continually mentor AM’s in the operation of a Zaxby’s unit and prepare them for the future advancement.
- Review daily numbers each day of work and coach and praise their results.
- Provide leadership by generating excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude and commitment toward company objectives.
- Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum of 1 year of restaurant management experience (Zaxby’s a plus).
- Available to work a minimum of 5 days and 40 to 50 hours per week.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Successful completion of background check.
- In-store training program completed.
- Online ZFI AM test passed with a 90% or above.
- Phase III GM certification.
- In-store ZFI Kitchen Demonstrative passed with a 90% or above.
- Food Manager Certification.
