General Manager

About the role

Bruegger’s is seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of the store with a "treat it like you own it" philosophy. The role involves starting as early as 4am to do the first bake and open the store, managing shifts, catering/mobile/in-store orders, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Closing the store by 2pm allows for personal time.

Responsibilities

• Starts operations as early as 4am to ensure the first bake and store opening
• Maintains audit readiness, handles catering/mobile/in-store orders, and ensures customer satisfaction
• Floates between positions during breakfast and lunch rushes to support the team
• Manages closing procedures and prepares for the next day within 30-45 minutes
• Handles daily deposits and manages schedules, orders, and inventory
• Trains for 5 weeks before assuming responsibilities

Requirements

• 1-3 years of prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting
• Hands-on operator with the ability to motivate and inspire the team
• Experience with P&L analysis and strategies for achieving food cost goals and labor targets
• Experience in recruiting and developing internal talent
