General Manager

About the role

As General Manager you own the entire store—people, sales performance, operations, and guest experience. You are accountable for hitting budget, developing leaders, and ensuring value is driven through a guest-centric experience at one of 30 Ashley stores or 3 distribution centers across the Southeast (Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Virginia).

• Sales Leadership & Floor Execution (including ups management)
• Customer Experience & Guest Support
• Inventory Management, Promotion Control, & Cash Handling
• Facilities & Building Oversight
• Culture Management & Communication (including huddle leadership)
• Store Operations & Standards
• Talent Development & Coaching
• Scheduling & Team Management (including conflict management)
• Training & Performance Management
• KPI Reporting & Management Meetings

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• College degree (preferred)
• 3–5 years of retail leadership experience in a high-volume or furniture retail environment (required)

Work Environment

• Physical demands: standing/walking for extended periods; occasional lifting
• Work environment: retail sales floor
• Schedule: weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required
