About the Role

Alliance Hospitality Group is a growing company seeking a General Manager to oversee restaurant operations, drive excellence, and foster a culture of hospitality and professional growth. This role involves executing high standards in food, service, and safety while developing teams and maximizing financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain quality and consistency of food and service with full adherence to standards; protect and grow restaurant sales.
  • Provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere with attentive, detailed, and courteous service.
  • Understand the local market, including surrounding restaurants, businesses, and hotels.
  • Regularly measure and evaluate service through company audits and guest/employee feedback.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, security, sanitation, and facility cleanliness.
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance; ensure compliance with POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • Drive operational standards daily by inspiring, inspecting, and informing restaurant personnel.
  • Develop and manage the restaurant’s leadership team, including hiring, evaluations, and terminations.
  • Conduct quarterly evaluations for management and hourly staff to track skill improvement.
  • Lead PR, marketing, and sales-building efforts; implement efficient systems and processes.
  • Confront poor performance while recognizing and rewarding excellence; instill a culture of confidence and leadership.
  • Maintain compliance with Arizona labor laws, Department of Health standards, and OSHA regulations.
  • Build a culture of financial responsibility, including sales tracking, labor management, waste reduction, and cost control.
  • Accurately process financial submissions, including waste sheets, labor proformas, and tip reporting.
  • Control cash, credit, and receipts following company cash-handling procedures.
  • Develop and enforce budgets; hold department managers accountable for financial performance.
  • Seek and implement improvements in efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of General Manager experience in a fine dining or service-oriented restaurant.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide personalized guest recommendations.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Availability to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge.

Physical Requirements

  • Exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
  • Combination of sitting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
