General Manager 4 - Food

Sodexo is seeking a highly visible General Manager to direct and participate in all daily food operations at University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) in Kansas City, MO. This role focuses on student experience, financial acumen, and overall food and service operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day food service operations
• Deliver high-quality food service and achieve company/client financial targets
• Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
• Create and execute strategic plans
• Foster a positive environment and ensure Sodexo standards are met
• Manage unit financials and HR functions
• Engage directly with customers and manage employees

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of management experience
• 5+ years of functional experience in food service or related field
• Strong employee engagement and leadership skills
• Culinary production experience with a background in safety and sanitation compliance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate professional communication
• Passion for high-level customer service
• Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) and proficiency in computer skills/report management
• Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
