Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of store operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
- Set the example by adhering to all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your team does the same.
- Manage staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, store cleanliness, and marketing efforts.
- Maintain profitability, perfect store image, and high standards of customer service.
- Ensure attendance, punctuality, and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Perform general duties shared by all store team members, such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, processing orders, and maintaining cleanliness.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and provide clear written and verbal instructions.
- Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and making correct monetary change.
- Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Navigational skills for reading maps and locating delivery addresses.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks or deliveries.
- In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces (up to 500°F or higher), sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
- Sensory requirements: verbal and hearing communication, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Temperament: ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, handle stress, meet quality control standards, and make judgments and decisions.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
- Walking: Short distances and durations, including travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
- Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table in an office area.
- Lifting: Unloading bulk deliveries (up to 50 pounds) using a hand truck, stacking cases onto shelves up to 72" high. Carrying large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray).
- Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force).
- Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs, washing walls, or performing maintenance. Delivery personnel may navigate five or more flights of stairs.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly, stocking ingredients) for 30-45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning on oven controls, stocking shelves, or processing orders.
- Driving: Delivering pizzas within a designated area, potentially making several deliveries per shift.
Tools and Equipment
- Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.
- For delivery: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and the ability to deliver product and promotional materials (e.g., flyers, door hangers).
