Responsibilities

  • Oversee all store operations, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
  • Set the example by adhering to all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your team does the same.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and training of crew members.
  • Maintain perfect image and adherence to company standards.
  • Ensure great customer service, store cleanliness, and profitability.
  • Handle paperwork, food management, and marketing initiatives.
  • Operate all store equipment and manage daily tasks such as stocking ingredients, preparing product, and processing orders.
  • Conduct inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facility.

Requirements

  • Strong judgment, math skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and making correct monetary change.
  • Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Navigational skills for reading maps and locating addresses within the delivery area.
  • Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
  • Attendance and punctuality.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks or deliveries.
  • In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
  • Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters, including walk-in coolers.
  • Handling hot surfaces and tools, with oven temperatures up to 500°F or higher.
  • Exposure to sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensory and Cognitive Requirements

  • Talking and hearing on the telephone.
  • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, including depth perception.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Far vision and night vision for driving.
  • Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, handle stress, and meet quality control standards.
  • Skills in dealing with people, analyzing and compiling data, and making judgments and decisions.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces, with work surfaces between 36" and 48" high.
  • Walking: Short distances for short durations, including travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
  • Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table in an office.
  • Lifting: Unloading bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds) using a hand truck, stacking cases onto shelves up to 72" high. Carrying large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force).
  • Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for tasks like changing prices, washing walls, or performing maintenance. Delivery personnel may navigate five or more flights of stairs.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist during pizza assembly, front counter tasks, and stocking ingredients.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
  • Driving: Delivering pizzas within a designated area, including navigating to customer doors and distributing flyers or door hangers.

Tools and Equipment

  • Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment.
  • Pizza cutter, pizza peel.
  • Insured vehicle for delivery (valid driver's license with a safe driving record required).
