Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
  • Set the example by adhering to all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your team does the same.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and training of store team members.
  • Maintain perfect image and adherence to standards, ensuring great customer service.
  • Handle paperwork, food management, and profitability tracking.
  • Ensure store cleanliness, marketing initiatives, and attendance/punctuality of the team.
  • Operate all store equipment and manage inventory.
  • Prepare product, process telephone orders, and maintain daily cleaning routines.

Requirements

  • Strong judgment, math skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and co-workers, both in person and over the phone.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and making correct monetary change.
  • Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Navigational skills for reading maps and locating addresses within the delivery area.
  • Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks or deliveries.
  • In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
  • Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
  • Handling hot surfaces and tools, including ovens up to 500°F or higher.
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts in the work environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
  • Walking: Short distances for short durations, including travel between the store and delivery vehicle.
  • Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Unloading bulk deliveries (up to 50 pounds) and stacking onto shelves up to 72" high. Carrying trays of pizza dough (12 pounds per tray), large cans (3 pounds, 7 ounces), and pizza sauce (30 pounds).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force).
  • Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs, washing walls, or making deliveries (up to five or more flights of stairs).
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly station) and bending to stock ingredients or clean low areas.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean.
  • Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning on oven controls, stocking shelves, or processing orders.
  • Driving: Delivering pizzas within a designated area, including navigating multi-story buildings and private homes. Requires a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle.

Tools and Equipment

  • Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment.
  • Pizza cutter, pizza peel, and other kitchen tools.
