Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
  • Set the example by adhering to all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your team does the same.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, paperwork, and food management to maintain profitability and efficiency.
  • Maintain perfect store image, cleanliness, and adherence to standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure punctuality and attendance from your team.
  • Handle transportation logistics for store operations and marketing initiatives.

General Duties for All Store Team Members

  • Operate all store equipment, including ovens, computers, and telephones.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers.
  • Prepare and process food orders, including receiving and handling telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility on a daily basis.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and give clear written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
  • Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, such as entering orders via keyboard or touch screen.
  • Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
  • Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying products.

Work Conditions

  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks or deliveries.
  • In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
  • Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces (up to 500°F or higher), sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Far and night vision required for driving duties.

Temperaments

  • Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, and work both independently and with others.
  • Capacity to work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, and handle interactions with people professionally.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, including the ability to compile and judge data effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces, with work surfaces between 36" and 48" high.
  • Walking: Short distances for short durations, including travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
  • Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table in an office area.
  • Lifting: Unload bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds) using a hand truck, and stack cases onto shelves up to 72" high. Carry large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force) and pull trays as needed.
  • Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs, washing walls, or performing maintenance. Delivery personnel may need to climb five or more flights of stairs.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist is required at the pizza assembly station and front counter, as well as when stocking ingredients.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally performed to stock shelves or clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuous reaching in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
  • Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated area, requiring a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle.

Tools and Equipment

  • Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.
