Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures by yourself and your team.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and training to maintain high standards of performance.
- Maintain perfect image and cleanliness standards, including store appearance and food safety.
- Drive profitability through effective food management, cost controls, and marketing initiatives.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all customers.
- Complete paperwork, manage inventory, and handle cash control with accuracy.
- Operate all store equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
- Prepare and manage product orders, including receiving and stocking ingredients.
- Train and orient new team members on store procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and judgment skills, with the ability to multitask and manage a team effectively.
- Proficiency in basic math for inventory, cash handling, and cost controls.
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills for processing orders and interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately (may use a calculator).
- Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry.
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, with dependable transportation to and from work.
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks or deliveries.
- In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters, including walk-in coolers.
- Hot surfaces and tools, including ovens up to 500°F or higher, and sharp edges or moving mechanical parts.
- Sensory requirements: near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Far and night vision for driving.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces, with work surfaces between 36" and 48" high.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations, including travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
- Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table in an office area.
- Lifting: Unloading bulk deliveries (up to 50 pounds) using a hand truck, lifting cases from the floor to shelves up to 72" high. Carrying large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray).
- Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force).
- Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs, washing walls, or performing maintenance. Delivery personnel may navigate five or more flights of stairs.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist during pizza assembly, front counter tasks, and stocking ingredients. Duration can be 30-45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally required for stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.
- Reaching: Continuous reaching up, down, and forward for tasks like turning on oven controls, changing prices, lifting objects, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
- Driving: Delivering pizzas within a designated area, including navigating to customer doors. Requires a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
Skills & Tools
- Proficiency with pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry.
- Navigational skills for reading maps and locating delivery addresses.
