General Maintenance Worker II - HVAC Shop

Typical Duties

• Painting
• Carpentry (including siding)
• Plumbing
• Masonry
• Grouting ceramic tile floors/walls
• Minor electrical work
• Replacing glass in windows and doors
• Replacing/repairing door hardware
• Clearing roof drains and gutters
• Patching holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
• Touch up painting and caulking
• Minor repairs on sinks, water coolers, and toilets
• Caulking plumbing fixtures
• Minor repairs on concrete floors, steps, stoops, decks, and sidewalks
• Communicating and interacting directly with the customer and supervisors
• Responding to customer inquiries and complaints
• Ensuring completed work meets quality control standards
• Communicating with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates
• Following all Safety Procedures and Policies
• Maintaining professionalism in both appearance and demeanor

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of facilities maintenance experience preferred
• Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred
• Able to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, occasionally in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties
• Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required
• The ability to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time
• A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance
• Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access
